Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed nurse to provide health care services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Rhode Island Nursing license
- Prefer experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills, dependability, responsible, of strong character
- Clear National criminal background check supported by fingerprints and Rhode Island Criminal background check (BCI), absent from the Office of Inspector General (OIG) exclusions list, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide care plans and evaluations for each client under his/her care as appropriate
- Complete, review and/or update interagency forms as needed
- Maintain communication with the Program Managers, Support Professionals, guardians, other ancillary staff, and families
- Maintain communication with Residential Nurses, Associate Directors, and/or the CEO concerning the status of each of the clients under his/her supervision.
- Participate in on-going trainings, education and/or in-services to keep abreast of current State and Federal protocols and regulations
- Supervise and train appropriate personnel on the Health and Wellbeing of all the clients under his/her supervision
- Attend all annual and/or specialized meetings for the clients as required.
- Attend and participate in annual planning sessions for clients
- Document, complete and/or follow through with any specialized services needed and/or recommended by medical professionals.
- Complete, update and monitor monthly medication sheets to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Notify training department of needed development of specialized training for the clients
- In-service and monitor all Direct Care Professionals in regard to medication administration as it pertains to State and Federal regulations as required
- Maintain current medical information and all related medical information in the clients’ main records including pending information

Salary: $21.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience and degree
